Evaluation Question 6

For my coursework I used Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. For editing my photos I decided that the most effective programme to use was Photoshop. This enabled me to edit my photos to the standard I needed it to be as I could use many tools such rotating my photos, and especially cutting them. I used InDesign for the majority of my work as it enabled me to make a flat plan of my magazine. This meant I could plan the layout of my magazine then insert all of my work. This made it allot easier for me.

When it came to photographic techniques, lighting was very important. I had to make sure that my images were to the highest standard without any shadows.

To create a particular look I used props in my photos to represent that my magazine was to do with music. I did this my using microphones and guitars.  My costume also had to fit in with the particular look to represent the genre of my magazine.

Overall I believe that the props in my photo-shoots worked very well. It gave my magazine a specific look which helped when making a particular effect.

My colour scheme did not work as well when it came to the background. The colour background of my front cover is white whereas the background colour of my double page spread and contents is black. To improve I would have made them all one colour to make a better affect.

I had problems when it came to my front cover image. I took lot of images and it was hard to find one I defiantly like so this caused a problem for me. I overcome this problem in the end by finding one I liked.
